Team 3637 is proud to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and FIRST in our local schools and in our community. Our outreach efforts have included:
- Used LEGO drives to collect and donate LEGOs to Desmares Elementary School.
- Mentoring LEGO and Robotics Clubs at Desmares Elementary School.
- Mentoring LEGO Clubs at Barley Sheaf Elementary School.
- Team participation in “Relay For Life of Hunterdon,” in support of the American Cancer Society.
- Robotics workshop at the Hunterdon County Family Success Center in Flemington.
- Robotics workshop at the Hunterdon County Library.
- Robot demonstrations for the local community at Family Science Night at Hunterdon Central.
- Robot demontrations for the school community in the IMC during Teen Tech Week.
- Robotic workshop tour and robot demo at Hunterdon Central for 4H students and parents.
- Food drive for the Flemington Food Pantry.
- Presentations to the Hunterdon Central School Board.
- Presentation at Hunterdon Central’s STEM consortium for the community.
- Presentation to the Rotary Club to show local business leaders what we do for the community.
- Starting and mentoring two FLL Teams.
- Providing tutoring for elementary students at the Hunterdon Family Success Center.
- Mentoring a local 4H robotics club.
- Participating in a Barnes & Nobel Mini Maker Faire.
- STEM mentoring at Desmares Elementary School’s new Science Club.
- “Recycle for Sight” eyeglass drive with the Lions Club.
- Robotics demonstration for NJ Makers Day.
- Demo at Hunterdon Central’s STEAM Showcase.
- Demo at the Hunterdon County 4-H Fair.
- Demo at Raritan Township’s Community Day.
- Appearance at the Hunterdon Chamber of Commerce Business & Home Expo.
